These two homegrown two-wheelers are powered by the same 200cc mill with a marginally different state of tune. The major difference between them is the body shape. That said, the Hero Xtreme 200S 4V is a fully-faired bike, while the XPulse 200 4V is an adventure bike.

Specifications

As mentioned above, both the homegrown bikes produced by the same manufacturer are powered by the same 200cc engine with a slightly different state of tune.

But, apart from that, these two 200cc bikes are structured using the diamond chassis, which is known for its agility and robustness.

As far as the figures go, both bikes have the same engine displacement, rated at 199.6cc. The Hero Xtreme 200S 4V has an engine output of 18.8 bhp at 8500 rpm and 17.35 Nm of peak torque at 6500 rpm.

Moreover, the torque released by the Hero XPulse 200 4V is the same as its counterpart but offers a different power of 18.9 bhp at 8500 rpm.

As for transmission, both bikes are mated to a standard five-speed manual transmission.

Both bikes have an oil-cooled engine. However, the fuel tank capacity of the Xtreme 200S 4V and the XPulse 200 4V is rated at 12.8 litres and 13 litres, respectively.

In terms of fuel efficiency, the ARAI-claimed mileage of the Hero Xtreme 200S 4V is 54 km/l, while the XPulse 200 4V has a certified ARAI mileage of 32.9 km/l. However, as reported by the owners of these two bikes, the real-world mileage of the Xtreme 200S 4V and the XPulse 200 4V is between 40 km/l and 45 km/l.

Brake and Suspension Setups

Let’s begin with the brake setups of these two bikes. As for the Hero Xtreme 200S 4V, this bike stands on a 37mm telescopic fork with an anti-friction brush at the front and a monoshock suspension at the rear.

On the other hand, the Hero XPulse 200 4V also stands on a 37mm telescopic fork with an anti-friction brush at the front but stands on a rectangular swingarm with a ten-step adjustable preload monoshock at the rear. Weighing the suspension setups of these two offerings, the Hero XPulse has a superior setup than the Xtreme 200S, but it is worth noting that both bikes have different usages. As far as the features are concerned, both bikes are equipped with a fully digital instrument cluster that shows relevant readings of the odometer, speedometer, fuel gauge, distance made, and tachometer. Besides that, both offerings also have a side stand alarm, a low fuel indicator, a low battery indicator, a clock, and mobile app connectivity.
